What Motorbreath is
Leafly lists Motorbreath, also known as Motor Breath, as a hybrid that crosses Chemdog with SFV OG Kush, named after its very gassy flavour and smell. Weedmaps credits Jimmy Nitz of Pisces Genetics with the Chem D x SFV OG Kush cross and says the standout phenotype, Motorbreath #15, was reportedly selected by a forum grower known as Sticky Icky OG; that cut spread so widely that menus now use the two names almost interchangeably.
SeedFinder lists the Pisces Genetics version as mostly indica, and AllBud, which also calls it Motorbreath #2, puts it at about 70% indica and 30% sativa. Leafly calls it award-winning, and SeedFinder and Weedmaps both record a 10th-place finish in the Mixed Light category at the 2019 Emerald Cup. It has since become a popular parent: SeedFinder counts 77 direct descendants of the Pisces line.
Look, smell and taste
AllBud describes spade-shaped, minty green buds with thin orange hairs and a heavy frosting of trichomes. Leafly's reviewers pick chemical, diesel and pepper as the top flavours, and AllBud describes diesel on the exhale with sharp citrus and earth. Leafly's lab data puts limonene first, then caryophyllene and myrcene.
Effects people report
Leafly's reviewers most often report feeling relaxed, euphoric and tingly, and Leafly rates Motorbreath as mostly calming. AllBud describes a lifted, tingly euphoria followed by a numbing body high that can turn slightly couch-locked and sedating, and Weedmaps describes the same arc, with sleepiness reported more often as a session goes on. Weedmaps puts it in an experienced-consumer, later-hours lane, and Leafly warns novices about its potent effects.
The negatives Leafly users mention most are feeling anxious, dizziness and dry mouth. Health Canada suggests starting with 1 or 2 puffs and waiting up to 30 minutes for the full effect, and its lower-risk guidelines say not to drive for at least 6 hours after using cannabis.
