Pale to deep green, streaked with wine-purple and bright orange and frosted with sparkling, diamond-like trichomes: that is how Leafly describes the colas of Dolato, the strain this flower is named for. Leafly also lists it as Do-Si-Lato, Dosi-Lato and Dosilato.

Gelato #41 and the NorCal cut of Do-Si-Dos

Leafly calls Dolato an indica bred from Do-Si-Dos and Gelato #41, and its genetics panel lists Waffle Cone and Capitol Chillz as children. AllBud names the same parents, specifying the NorCal cut of Do-Si-Dos, and classes Dolato as an indica dominant hybrid, 70% indica and 30% sativa.

Leafly describes a fruity, earthy aroma and a sweet, lavender-like taste, and its flavour tags are lavender, tar and tobacco. AllBud’s account is sweet berry and pine with a light, slightly earthy spice at the finish, over a sweet, earthy aroma with musky spice and a fresh pine accent.

Dolato’s THC figures and reported feelings

Leafly puts Dolato’s THC near 20% and its CBG near 1%. AllBud puts THC at 26%, within a range of 22% to 29%. On Leafly, the most common reports are relaxed and tingly, while AllBud users tag body high, euphoria, relaxing and uplifting. AllBud’s write-up describes a lifted start with deep cerebral relaxation, then warmth spreading through the body and a euphoric, at-ease feeling. Leafly users rate the strain 4.6 from 151 ratings, and AllBud users 4.8 from 50 votes.

For a first smoke, Health Canada suggests 1 or 2 puffs, from flower at no more than 10% THC, which is half of Leafly’s figure for Dolato. The agency’s lower-risk use guidelines put driving off limits for 6 hours or longer after cannabis.
