Hash Plant

Compact, resin-soaked flower clusters are how Leafly describes Hash Plant, the Sensi Seeds strain this flower is named for. Leafly sorts it with the indicas, while AllBud places it among the indica-dominant hybrids, at 80% indica and 20% sativa.

Afghan resin, Northern Lights and a Dutch start

Leafly’s text calls the strain 90% indica, made by pairing the mysterious original Hash Plant from the US with Northern Lights, and its genetics section lists Northern Lights and Afghani as parents. AllBud says it started out in Holland in the early 1980s before making its way to the United States, and describes a cross of Hash Plant stock with Northern Lights #1. Tight buds, brittle once dried

Leafly says the flower clusters turn brittle when dried. AllBud describes tight buds completely covered in resin, with green leaves and red hairs, and one AllBud reviewer describes dense nugs speckled with white and red.

The smell to look for, he says, is sweet Afghan hash with woody spice, and he passes on one reviewer’s jar setup: a mason jar plus a 58 percent humidity pack. A trace of hashish and a spicy bite

Leafly describes an aroma that is deep and rich like Afghani with a trace of hashish, and a main flavour that is a sharp, spicy bite from burning resin glands. It tags the flavour woody, spicy-herbal and earthy, and its lab-sourced terpene order reads myrcene, caryophyllene, ocimene. One Leafly reviewer praises an excellent hash flavour.

AllBud describes a woody, earthy aroma with a sweet side that is easy to recognise but less strong than you might expect, and a spicy, pleasant taste. Its flavour tags are hash, herbal, spicy and woody.

THC and the feelings people report

Leafly gives THC as 19% and CBD as 0%, with its gauge sitting above the Leafly norm; AllBud lists 13% to 19%.

A fast, strong, body-focused high is Leafly’s description, and its reviewers most often name relaxed and hungry. After smoking, AllBud says, the feeling is exceptionally relaxed; its tags are euphoria, happy and relaxing.
