Willo - Diamonds - Blackberry Pie

These Willo Diamonds are THCA crystal concentrates for dabbing, made with Blackberry Pie, which Leafly says Gage Green Genetics bred from Jojorizo’s Blackberry Widow and Crystal Locomotive. Willo labels the strain Hybrid Day.

Purple flowers and White Widow heritage

Leafly’s write-up pictures a beautiful, aromatic plant with deep purple flowers and a heavy coat of trichomes, and says every phenotype carries the potency and heavy resin expected from the White Widow and Trainwreck in its background. It also calls the strain easy to grow and lists Blanco Berry Kush as a child. AllBud traces the same parents and calls Blackberry Pie a rare hybrid, split evenly between indica and sativa.

Blackberries, nuts and an earthy base

AllBud describes the buds as dark olive green tinged with purple, with dark amber hairs and crystal trichomes that can take on a lavender look in the right light. As its name suggests, AllBud says, it tastes of fresh blackberries and nuts, over a very dank, earthy aroma with spicy berry notes on top. Leafly’s flavour tags are blueberry, berry and grape, and one Leafly reviewer describes a sweet blackberry taste. How Willo turns it into diamonds

Willo’s Diamonds page puts the crystals down to hydrocarbon extraction, using fresh-frozen cannabis that all comes from one source. Freezing plants right after harvest, rather than drying and curing them, is the method live resin uses to hold on to more of the fresh plant’s terpenes. The diamonds themselves are THCA in crystal form, grown while an extract separates, and heating them, as a dab does, converts that THCA to THC. THC figures and how the high builds

Leafly’s strain page shows THC around 26% and CBG around 1%. AllBud gives an average of 16% to 17% THC and still calls the high very strong.
