Leafly lists Cherry Bomb as a hybrid and says a popular variant crosses a California indica, most likely with some Skunk in it, with a Hawaiian sativa from the breeders at Barney's Farm. SeedFinder carries Barney's Farm's description of that cross, marks it as discontinued and gives a flowering time of 10 to 12 weeks.
Other breeders have used the name for different plants. Bomb Seeds crossed its Big Bomb with an unnamed fruity mother and calls the result mostly indica, and Leafly notes that B-Real's Insane brand released a Cherry Bomb in 2022 that is Zkittlez x Cherry Pie. Barney's Farm described its version as having very green buds and a very bitter aroma. Its reviewers most often report feeling focused, energetic and happy. Bomb Seeds describes its indica-leaning version differently: an initial head high that settles into a deep, calming body stone.
