Power Plant from South Africa, Lavender from Amsterdam

In Leafly‘s account, the strain behind the name is a cross of Lavender with Power Plant. AllBud places Power Plant in South Africa and Lavender in Amsterdam, and says Lavender itself blends Skunk strains with an Afghani Hawaiian.

Leafly’s category is hybrid, while on AllBud the strain is an indica-dominant hybrid with a 70/30 indica-to-sativa split. For a closer look at tags like these, see our type-label guide.

Floral, fruity and sweet

Leafly describes a bold, cherry-forward flavour with floral undertones, and tags flowery, lavender and sweet. Its reviewers mention floral and berry flavours, and a smooth inhale with a sweet taste on the exhale.

AllBud tags fruity and sweet flavours and floral, fragrant, fruity and sweet aromas, and one of its reviewers reports a floral, fruity flavour.

Two phenotypes, from a grower’s review

A grower reviewing on Leafly reports two phenotypes: one sugary, citrusy and green, resembling Power Plant, and one more floral, with a hint of grape or purple.

Myrcene, then pinene and limonene

Leafly’s strain science section names myrcene (herbal) as dominant, followed by pinene (pine) and limonene (citrus). The citrus terpene in third place gets its own explainer in our limonene guide.

THC and the reported high

Leafly puts THC at 19% with 1% CBG and marks its potency above average. AllBud gives 17% to 22% and says THC is relatively high, topping 22% in some samples, with CBD at 1% or less.

Leafly describes euphoric effects with a relaxing side, and its reviewers tag euphoric, happy and relaxed, then uplifted, focused and giggly. AllBud describes a body high with cerebral effects, euphoria and a lift in mood, and its reviewers describe a high that builds slowly and creeps up.
