Frosted Fruit Cake

Frosted Fruit Cake is flower from a cross of FPOG and Wedding Cake, and Leafly lists the result as indica-dominant. AllBud calls it a slightly indica-dominant hybrid, about 60% indica and 40% sativa, and a dessert-like strain with a double dose of fruity flavour.

AllBud describes the buds as dense, triangular, emerald-green nuggets covered in many very thin light-orange hairs and small white trichomes. One reviewer on Leafly mentions lots of kief.

Berries, red fruit and spicy vanilla

AllBud describes the aroma as fresh berries, red fruits, creamy tree fruits and spicy vanilla, and its aroma tags also take in diesel, earthy, herbal and flowery notes. The taste, in AllBud’s words, is a sweet, sugary mix of fresh fruit with creamy vanilla and a little spice, and one AllBud reviewer picked up lime, plum and sugary citrus.

Leafly’s flavour tags are tree fruit, flowery and vanilla. Leafly reviewers write of a sweet, fruity taste with the Wedding Cake parent coming through and a creamy aftertaste.

Slow to settle in, by AllBud’s account

AllBud says the high settles in slowly, with a subtle, full-bodied tingle and a kicked-back, relaxed feel. AllBud’s effect tags are body high, happy, relaxing, tingly and uplifting, and AllBud users rate the strain 4.6 from 27 votes. On Leafly, where Frosted Fruit Cake also averages 4.6, from 8 ratings, users most often report feeling euphoric, giggly and happy.

Strain THC figures and pacing

Leafly’s write-up puts THC for the strain at 20%, and AllBud’s page gives 23% to 25%. Both figures are at least double the 10% THC ceiling in Health Canada‘s lower-risk tips for a first smoke, which also suggest starting with 1 or 2 puffs and note that effects can take up to 30 minutes to peak.
