These Backwoods tobacco cigars come in Sweet Aromatic, a style that Backwoods owner Imperial Brands groups with Honey Berry when it names the brand’s “iconic” variants.

Imperial Brands’ timeline for the brand sets the introduction of Backwoods in the United States in 1973. On the same timeline, the slogan ‘Wild ‘n Mild’ belongs to the 1980s and, Imperial says, is still printed on the packs; ITG Brands writes it as ‘WILD & MILD’.

In most cigars, a binder leaf is wound around the filler before the outer wrapper goes on. CSP Daily News reported that Backwoods leave the binder out, so the build is filler leaves inside a wrapper leaf and nothing more.
