Willo 200mg THC Gummies - Preppy Pineapple

Toronto brand Willo puts Night in the title of its Preppy Pineapple gummies and gives indica as their THC type. Willo packs ten of them into each 200 mg bag, at 20 mg of THC apiece.

Pineapple flavouring oil and a gelatin base

Willo describes the flavour as tropical pineapple, and pineapple flavouring oil appears in the ingredient list on its Preppy Pineapple page. The base under it, the same one Willo lists for Bubble Tea, Pink Champagne and Wonderful Watermelon, is glucose, sugar, sorbitol, gelatin and water, along with potassium sorbate, citric acid and CO2 oil.

A Night title, as on Wonderful Watermelon

Willo sells each 200 mg flavour separately. Preppy Pineapple shares its Night title and indica type with Willo’s Wonderful Watermelon, while Willo’s Bubble Tea and Pink Champagne bags carry the Day title and are listed as sativa.

Swallowed THC and a slow start

Swallowed THC is metabolized in the liver first, which is why edibles come on later than smoked cannabis and last longer. Willo’s own advice to first-time users is to take half a gummy and hold off on more, since the gummies may need 2 to 3 hours to come on.

On Health Canada‘s figures, a swallowed dose starts to register between half an hour and 2 hours after eating, and its full effect can take as much as 4 hours to arrive. One Preppy Pineapple gummy holds 20 mg, while Health Canada’s lower-risk advice for an edible stops at 2.5 mg THC. Its lower-risk guidelines rule out driving until 6 hours or more have gone by after cannabis use.
