Indica is the label Willo puts on its Island Pink diamonds, THCA crystals the Toronto brand makes as a concentrate for dabbing.

From fresh-frozen plants to crystals

According to Willo, these vivid crystals are produced by hydrocarbon extraction, starting from cannabis frozen fresh, all of it from one source. Freezing a harvest straight away, rather than drying and curing it, aims to keep more of the terpenes the fresh plant carried. Vanilla candy, florals and skunk

Our Island Pink guide calls the strain an indica-leaning hybrid and describes a sweet, vanilla-candy flavour carrying floral, skunky and earthy notes. In the guide’s tip, Steven De Guzman says a bud broken open should give off sweet florals, fresh vanilla and skunk, and he suggests vanilla rooibos as a drink to echo that candy-like sweetness.

Storage, Willo’s range and a THC caution

Heat and direct sunlight are the two things Willo says to keep its diamonds away from, and it wants them stored somewhere cool and dry. Sourcing, production and packaging all happen locally in Toronto, according to Willo’s home page. Diamonds are only part of Willo’s own menu, which also takes in gummies, chocolates, pre-rolls, tinctures, beverages, CBD and vaporizers.

Hash, kief, wax and shatter are the extracts Health Canada names as high in THC, and diamonds are an extract too. The agency’s advice is for new and occasional consumers to give the whole class a miss. Its lower-risk guidelines also want 6 clear hours, at least, between any cannabis use and getting behind the wheel.
