Wild Rum Backwoods Carton

Wild Rum is the style on this carton of Backwoods tobacco cigars. CStore Decisions mentioned it in a February 2021 article on the cigar and tobacco aisle, where a cigar category director, going through the new products he was seeing, said Backwoods would offer Wild Rum for a limited time.

Limited-time offers in the Backwoods portfolio

Imperial Brands counts limited-time offers among the parts of the Backwoods portfolio. It also names variants it calls “iconic”, such as Sweet Aromatic and Honey Berry, and Select styles, which it describes as “premium offers” based on the wrapper’s origin.

A factory whose output is mostly Backwoods

Cigar Aficionado reported on the Tabacalera de Garcia factory in La Romana, Dominican Republic, immediately outside the Casa de Campo resort complex. Its yearly output tops one billion mass-market cigars, the report said, and most of them are Backwoods.

Unrolling and refilling the cigar

Our Fronto vs Backwoods guide lays out the blunt routine: unroll the cigar, tip out the tobacco filler and pack cannabis into the leaf that remains. It advises starting at the leaf’s edge and easing it open slowly, since the leaf can be delicate and one that rips is difficult to roll. Our blunt guide covers the rolling step by step.
